Short haired VS. (or) long haired guinea pig?

short haired defiantly. Ive had one of each and no matter how much i brushed the long haired one she ended up with mats on her . She also got some sort of skin infection there because poop and hay and pee all got caught in it. i had to cut it 2 or 3 times in a few months. also whenever i picked her up she was all wet. ive never in a year had any problems with the short haired one.
