For Preschool/kindergarten teachers: What would you do if your students misbehaves?

Yes, a time out would be acceptable. I used to work at a private Pre-School and when we gave a time out the child couldn't be facing the wall, he/she had to have their back to the wall. I don't know if this was just their rule or a state law.
