Breaking Dawn question. need someone to look this up?

ok in chapter 36 of Breaking Dawn in like the first paragraph there is a sentence that says "Every face was ______, shadowed." can someone please tell me what word is there??? and then in like the next paragraph there is a sentence that says "Even if you did not count the two drifting, _______ black-cloaked figures in the very back" and if you could tell me what word is there that would be great. thanks :)
