How would you approach a parent on this?

the little girl is 4, not 14. there is no way that she should be able to "pick up on" 6 colors in an hour. children develop at different times. just because your child knows them, it does not mean that she needs to. the kid is not yours, mind your business. it's not the daycares job or yours to make sure that she knows these things.
